Rubén Ruiz-Torrubiano is a Professor of Computer Science at IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences (Austria). He received his PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) in 2012, and was a Visiting Researcher at the Technical University of Vienna under a Marie Curie Fellowship from the European Commission to work on Mixed-Integer Combinatorial Optimization. After spending many years in the software engineering industry as a Team Lead and Head of Research, he returned to academia to teach in graduate and undergraduate computer science programs. He has experience as a PC member and organizer of international conference workshops and publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals and conferences on topics ranging from Neuro-Symbolic methods, Combinatorial Optimization, to Digital Transformation.
