We provide travel support for attending ICSE 2024 through several sources. See below.
CAPS Travel Support for ICSE 2025
You may apply the SIGSOFT CAPS award if you are qualified.
SIGSOFT is pleased to announce that the CAPS program offers reimbursement for students and professional who attended the ICSE 2025 conference. CAPS travel support can be used for reimbursing flight, hotel, taxi / cab, shuttle, meals, mileage, and parking, and shall NOT be used for reimbursing other expenses (in particular, conference registration). The CAPS support is available for anyone who fits into one or more of the following categories:
- participants who identify as being a member of an underrepresented racial or ethnic group(s) in the place they work,
- participants based in low income and lower middle income countries as identified by the World Bank List of Economies,
- undergraduate students, or
- SIGSOFT members (both student and professional).

The number of CAPS support is limited. To apply, please complete the following form before January 31, 2025. The notifications will be sent by February 11, 2025.
Due to the limited budget of CAPS and oftentimes a large number of qualified applicants, CAPS can provide only partial support for attendance.
Please do not apply multiple times. Only one application will be considered. You will receive an email confirmation that allows you to update your application.
CAPS also provides support for costs if parents who are attending ICSE need to bring your children. This support is handled separately by emailing SIGSOFT CAPS Coordinator. The deadline for this application is flexible, depending on the applicants’ needs and the availability of the funds.

ACM-W supports, celebrates, and advocates for Women in Computing.

The deadline for people to attend ICSE would be Feb. 15, and they will be notified by Feb. 28
Other Travel Support
Limited funding from ACM SIGSOFT and from the US National Science Foundation is available to eligible attendees of the ICSE-SMEW and ICSE-DocSymp. This funding will be distributed following the processes defined by the ICSE-SMEW and ICSE-DocSymp organizers.
