Bio:

Nathalia Nascimento is an Assistant Professor at The Pennsylvania State University, Great Valley campus, teaching in the Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence graduate programs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the State University of Feira de Santana (Bahia, Brazil) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, where she worked on the integration of Intelligent Agents and the Internet of Things (IoT), Software Frameworks, and Software Product Lines. Before joining Penn State, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo (Canada), where she conducted research on Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications in Software Engineering.

Her research interests span Automated Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence – including Agents and Large Language Models, Software Frameworks, Software Product Lines, and Empirical Research, with a focus on how AI-driven techniques can enhance the software development lifecycle.
